  5. UPLOADING FILES TO WinSite(tm):

  7. ALL submissions to the WinSite(tm) Windows Archive must be accompanied by
  8. this template, with the proper fields filled in.  SUBMISSIONS THAT DO
  9. NOT INCLUDE A CORRECTLY FILLED OUT TEMPLATE, WILL BE IMMEDIATELY
  10. DELETED.  When your upload and template is initially processed, a
  11. record will be created in the file /pub/pc/win95/uploads/PENDING,
  12. providing the current status of the upload.

  14. By submitting programs and package(s) to the WinSite archive, the^M
  15. uploader/author assures us that the package(s) are shareware or freeware ^M
  16. applications, and may be distributed on WinSite and its distribution^M
  17. network.^M

  19. WHERE SHOULD YOUR FILES GO?
  20.  
  21. This upload directory is for Windows 95 programs.  If your program
  22. requires Windows NT, it should be uploaded to /pub/pc/winnt/uploads.

  24. Some developers are bundling Win3, Win32s, Win95, and WinNT
  25. executables into one archive.  Please upload such archives only ONCE.
  26. If the archive includes a version that requires WinNT, upload the
  27. archive to /pub/pc/winnt/uploads, MAKING SURE to use the WinNT Upload
  28. Template.  We will put copies of your program into each appropriate
  29. area (win3, win95, winnt) if you correctly fill out the template and
  30. upload your archive to the correct area.

  34. 1) Make a copy of this file.  Edit it, filling in the form below.
  35. Place the information about the program _AFTER_ each colon ":".  Save
  36. your modified file as <program>.tml where <program> is the name of the
  37. program you will upload (with the .zip extension).

  39. 2) Upload your program in ZIP or EXE format, make sure to use your software's
  40. "binary" or "tenex" mode.

  42. 3) Upload the modified template file as <program>.tml.  For example,
  43. if your program was uploaded as xyz23.zip, you should upload the
  44. template as xyz23.tml.
